Before that, however, I refinished it with a spar varnish/teak oil mixture for a combination of durability & repairability. It’s got a fairly open barrel channel and has been full-length bedded. I’ve never tried to drop a barreled action into it at all. Kinda cool period-correct stock for a sporterized Springfield IMO! $75 shipped via PayPal friends & family or postal MO.
