I believe it was back in the 1970’s that a story appeared about an old waterfowl dog named Pershing.
I have tried off & on for at least 20 years trying to find this article.
Perhaps someone here is a Ducks Unlimited fanatic who might help me find that article. At least 10 years ago I tried contacting Ducks Unlimited directly. The only response I got from them is I was welcome to stop by their HQ & look thru their library. I have not made it there yet.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
