Left hand Protector Carbine model.... Link to WC. Wilson Combat
Tell me what you like, and don't like,
My first question would be about the 8 twist, 16 inch barrel, good all around compromise? This is nothing more than a dedicated fun gun, birthday present to me, No real special application..55 grain bullets to maybe possibly 70? It may see a steady diet of 55's for all I know.

For that price, you can find a Knight's Armament SR-15.
That Wilson is OK as it stands, but is far overpriced & is absolutely nothing special. Except for having a good trigger, any equivalent BCM is fully the equal of the Wilson for a grand less.
Hard to justify that price for an AR that is not a KAC. You could put a 1st rate optic on a DD or BCM gun for that money. That being said it is your money, if it feels good do it and enjoy.

Don't wish it were easier Wish you were better
Stab them in the taint, you can't put a tourniquet on that. Craig Douglas ECQC

Never heard of Knights Armanement, I'll look into it. Any reason(s) why their better than others? The WC is too expensive, but the Knight isn't?
You mention BCM, I'm assuming that's Bravo Company, Would love to buy from a Local Business, But no lefty Model.

I'm not happy about the price of a WC, but I'm too broke to buy cheap stuff.......................
Scratch the KAC............no LH version; FYI, they are a high end .gov contractor & make arguably, the most reliable, durable & long lasting rifles on the market.

Having competed in High power and PRS I have “had others build” and have built around 10 AR’s..
If you want to save at least 700 or more dollars... and plan to keep it (brand names don’t trump performance of small groups if you are keeping it) There are 2 routes to getting a precision AR..
1) Big Brand names - a couple of grand plus... And you get what they have - typically 2000 plus.. a lot are around 2,500 Or 2) Work with a Smith that does precision work but ask him to make a AR for you to your spec’s... $1,000 low end, $1,200 to 1,300 high end
You can always “DIY build”... if you but the right parts, but if you want bug holes from precision builds buying the extra tools for 1-2 rifles isn’t worth it.
High end wise parts list ... estimates. Krieger barrel - 300ish Bolt carrier Group - 150 Geissele trigger - 150’s Upper / Lower (Anderson or better) - 150 normally a lot less Upper / lower innards - $80 Good free floated Forearm - $100 Higher end Magpul stock & buffertube - $120 That plus pay a smith to do all the accuracy items...
For the low end build... Estimates. Barrel - 150ish - bushmaster M4 Bolt carrier group - 150 - Bushy again Upper / Lower - 150 Upper / lower innards - 120. (ALG combat trigger) Non-free floated forearm - $40 Butt stock & tube - $120 is do the smith thing and it’s shoot pretty tight
I waited took the high end route but got it way cheaper than I put up because I waited for the holiday sales - 4th july, Christmas, ....
2 examples below - One is a 223 with a Magpul PRS stock, Geissele 2 stage, and ALG free floated forearm, using Anderson MFG upper / lower, Krieger 223 barrel and AR innards from White Oak Armament - all of which were on sale when I bought them - took me a year to get the parts on sale.
The second is a 6.8 SPC II, with a collapsable Magpul UBR stock, the barrel and bolt were sourced differently but the rest is the same.
Both shoot under 1/2 BEFORE as a DIY build, I will not go back and accurize them which should bring them down to around 1/4 or better shooting rifles.
you've got money in one hand and a rifle in the other. if you want the rifle more then it's a good deal. if it's a shooter, then it's a great deal.
i haven't shot a lot of ARs, but i've shot a few a lot. the wilson i'm currently using is the most accurate i've ever had. that may or may not be saying much, but they use match grade barrels. mine hits where it's pointed, and that gives me the confidence to shoot stuff in the face and expect a hit.
