There are more elk around Kremmling than in northern BC. However, northern BC has all that wilderness stuff, like caribou and grizzly--and also has a 6-point rule: bull elk must have at least 6 tines on one antler to be legal. This means that the little raghorns get to grow up to be at least little 6-points, unlike around Kremmling.

I do call it the old reliable spot for a reason. Our mules always pack elk out. I've seen one lower 300pt. bull taken out of there, a few in the mid to high 200's, but the norm are raghorns.
The scenery is nice.
