Just got a super 16 barrel for my contender. I need a forend or forearm for it. My barrel has only one screw for attachment. Forgive me for my ignorance on these but I’m not that knowledgeable on contenders. Let me know if you have something available at a reasonable price.

Is one of the dovetails missing from your barrel?
The super 16 used two screws to mount forearm and used same spacing as 23" rifle barrels.

Early Super 16 and 21" carbine barrels had only one barrel lug.

A two screw forearm will work. You only use one screw to mount. The single screw forearms are pricey.

I have a nice walnut single screw forearm but it's for a tapered 21" barrel.
Is this early super 16 a bull barrel?

They should be tapered. The 16 and the 21 have same forend. I have had several..

If you're still in need of a forearm, I've got a rynite rifle forearm that you can utilize the rear screw hole or I have a single hole walnut that should fit.
