Anybody know what bullet Federal puts in the non-typical ammo - specifically the 30-06 180 grain load? It shoots really well in my rifle and am just curious

Supposedly Federal Non-Typical is the same exact ammo as their blue box line, just packaged differently.

It has always looked (and been priced) the same to me.

Well that explains the name, I guess.

So, does anyone know what bullet Federal uses in their blue box loads, specifically the 30-06 180 grain round?

It's a cup and core that doesn't have a particularly catchy name.
