Warning: this is as graphic a video as you may want to see. It is common knowledge that Elk can be tough to bring down … Whitetails, in my opinion, are no slouches either. Check out this vid (Facebook only unfortunately) … it boggles the mind. Whitetail

How about a synopsis for those of us who are banned from Facebook?
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Oh schidt. That is gruesome. It must be recent, because that sucker is not long to this world. No limp, so I doubt it's a collision injury. Could a broadhead have done that?

Not good. Just the kind of ammo the bunny huggers need in their quest to put us out of business.

I'd say it was bedded and run over by a farm implement

It was bit by a rattlesnake and the flesh was destroyed by the poison. the deer and his friends kept it licked clean and it diden't get infected.. I saw a guys arm that was bitten and after 2 or 3 weeks that is what it looked like.... you could see Muscles , Tendons. and even bone , and it still worked without pain... when he got to a DR he had skin grafts to cover it.. it looked terrible with so much flesh missing.

Injuries happen, hard telling how. Farm implement is my guess but you never know. If infection doesn't get him he could heal up. Didn't look like it bothers him so I wish him luck

I’d say it looks like it was hit with a combine in a corn field. Probably was bedded and combine got too close

Maybe a injury incurred during a battle with another buck during the rut? Who knows, but some times accidents/events happen in the wild that claim the wildlife; we may never know happened.
