Anyone use these on elk, moose, caribou or bear in any 338 caliber rifle?

$18-19 a box is too good to resist.

Only interested in hearing others experiences with this specific bullet please.

I don't know about the 338 Federal but I have shot fusions in 243 Win and 7mm08 and would use them on Elk out of the 7mm08. I reload the 140 gr Fusions with H4350 and they shoot honest 1/2 groups at 100 yards. I would think in 338 they would work just fine for what you want to shoot with them.just my.02

I have not used on game. I was told they (200gn) worked very well on Kudu. Guy shot many (20-30) on cull hunts.

Before I started reloading I was using Federal Fusions at 225grns IIRC for my 338win mag. Several deer, a couple of bears, and a moose no issues.

The moose was a bad shot and caught the spine right near the hump, wedged between two vertebrate. Moose dropped and couldn't move. I walked up and finished. When we dressed Bullwinkle we recovered the bullet from the spine. Retained most of it's weight.

Overall I think they are a decent bullet.

I’ve used the 338 Federal 200gr factory load on several whitetails and hogs. All exited and left mostly baseball size exist holes. Most everything was DRT with chest/shoulder hits.

Bingo. Thanks for sharing. That's exactly what I needed to know. I will be loading these in a 338 rcm stainless carbine. Winter caribou and spring bear.

I would imagine if federal are loading them in their 338 win mag factory ammo, common sense is they know it will be used for large game. Gotta be more than a deer bullet aye?
