Just returned from my nearly annual MT deer hunt. Conditions were tough weather wise, and the rut seemed delayed this year. Still, I passed 4 or 5 160s class bucks looking fore something special. We found this buck the last morning and were able to sneak into 200yds. As the pictures show, this is wide open country with few trees. Hunting is long distance spot and stalk with most deer spotted at more than a mile. The buck was just over 31” wide and had a 34” neck. Indeed, his body was so large it made the antlers appear smaller than they actually were (pleasant surprise).
