What a mess. It looks pretty bad. Prayers for those involved in this. We have family there. It's really a beautiful town. Been there several times.

It only rained 4.93" (new record for the date) in J-Town the day all this crud happened. Had a few mudslides and downed trees down here. Blew up to 40 - 50 mph for a couple days.

Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

Surprisingly no landslides in Sitka this time around. We had two a few years ago in town, one of which killed three guys constructing a new home.
Reminds us that landslides start at the bottom, and not the top.
I did lose some vinyl siding from the house though this year, due the high winds..
