If you NEED a handgun right now, this is a great gun. This is also the best deal I see out there. I bought 2 of them 5-6 months ago, not at the same time. These G17 Gen 5's are phenomenal guns. Put night sights on one of them. Left the other bone stock. https://www.hinterlandoutfitters.com/glock-pa175s203-g17-pistol.htmlG19 Gen 5's are running about $100 more on all fronts.

That's a great deal. Of course, the procrastinators will keep procrastinating. On a deal like that, it could only be an hour or two and it's too late.

I'd jump on that if I were looking for a 9mm Glock under current conditions. I have a Gen 4 17 already, though, along with a Gen 5 19, 26, and 43.

NICE! and not trying to hi-jack or hairlip a pope, but, FFL Buddy put a Canik 9mm pistol in my hand the other day, that damn trigger was out of this world good, 21 rounds all up of 9mm, 5 bills out the door!
I don't know squat about the brand, but the damn thing felt good to me.

From a local gun shops Facebook page, posted today. G19 gen5 599.99 43 and 43x is 499.99 as well. They had 2 g17 that I’m pretty sure were gen5 when I was there yesterday for 525 with night sites. Tag said police returns but they looked brand new. Around here in southern Wisconsin glocks aren’t too hard to find, it’s mostly an ammo issue.

Other then no nubs, what’s better about the Gen 5? I have a gen3.

Ah ok, I looked at the pic closer now and noticed the beveled forward slide. That is a nice feature for holstering.
I have thought about buying a dremel tool an de-nubbing my 17. The bevel part can be done with a bench grinder. (Sarcasm)

If one wanted a Glock, then not a bad deal at all in today's market.

Picked up a 43x a few weeks ago for 449 and Gen 5 19 today for 569 at my LGS. The 43x was discounted $50 by the owner for me as I am to put it mildly one of his better customers, and he tried to discount the G19 for me but I said no and gave him what was his sticker price. He logged in 26 glocks last night and as of his close of business today had only I think 12 left. The 2 43x's and a g48 he had lasted maybe 2 hours on the shelf this morning. Glad to see he is finally getting some consistent shipping of guns in as there for awhile myself and a few other good customers of his were feeding him guns out of our personal collections so he had something to sell.

They have barrel with standard rifling, no finger groves, and finish that wears more quickly. I guess the the ambi slide stop/release means Gen 5?

I don't know squat about the brand, but the damn thing felt good to me. There are couple of other choices in UE. The TM9 for <300€ and Vz15 (design of 2015) for <400€. Obviously both have no long track record and are new to the market. The TM9 is said to be guaranteed for at least 50,000 rounds which might be good value for someone that just wants all around shooter (the gun is about the size of G19). Not holding my breath I am waiting for the Glock 46.

The Gen 5 are more lefty friendly. I qualify for the blue label program I paid $435 for my Gen 5 G17 month ago. I got my daughter a blue label G48 for $395. Look into the blue label program see if you are eligible.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

A neighbor of mine, a cop locally, has offered to do so as well.

Look into the blue label program see if you are eligible. They are, and I didn't feel the need to swap out the trigger on the G17 Gen 5, either, as I did with 4 of my Gen 4's. It was fine out of the box. That Blue Label program is a great deal.
