I am wanting to buy a zippered wallet for hip pocket carry pocket carry in khaki or BDU pants.
Something like a traditional bi-fold but with a zipper

It is my understanding that the biggest issue with a zippered wallet is the zipper itself.

I will only be carrying a few cards,Drivers license,
Credit Card, carry permit etc.And Cash and I want it all secured by a zipper.

Just wanting a durable zipper to hold wallet securely closed.
Does not make a difference to me if it is a wallet made from leather or nylon, just looking for durability.

For the guys who use zippered wallets I would appreciate you input and recommendations .

I was thinking that there would be other users of a zippered wallet/billfold that might have some real life experience with a zippered on who could point out from actual use which one or ones had the most durable zipper..
I am looking for real experiences as opposed to reviews by someone that gets paid to do a review .

I have always just wrapped a couple of rubber bands around the bill fold to keep it closed while in my pocket and to keep it from slipping out of my pocket.

And I don't like it when I open my billfold and sometimes have bills fall out.

I like the idea of a zippered or maybe even a billfold that closes with velcro over the bills.

I realize that a lot on the forum are younger and carry only a credit card but a lot of us old timers still carry cash as a form of payment.

Duluth makes a good one, but it appears they are sold out.

I'm on my second year of the second one of these and I've been satisfied with both.. The first one lasted about 5 - 6 years before the zipper started messing up. Satisfied enough that I'll be buying more.

That looks like it might be suitable
How many bills will it reasonably hold ?

Lots is my best answer but that really depends on denomination. The bill section has a full length divider which is handy to keep large / small bill denominations separate. It doesn't have the little clear plastic photo window thing, though, if that matters to you, but I buy a small one for most recent photos of grand kids and keep in the bill section.

Seems like a slippery slope from zippered wallet to a man bag. No thank you.

I went to a front pocket wallet several years ago...just cards, license, CCW and $40 -$100 in 20’s. I probably use cash for anything less than monthly, 3 or 4 times a year it seems.

I can't imagine myself standing in line at the gold nugget bar with a hot waitress waiting while I unzip my wallet to give her a tip. All eyes watching as you struggle with that chicom zipper.

Note: This is hypothetical since I would never visit such an establishment.

The problem is...a durable zipper. Almost a thing of the past. All made in China these days.

That's cool! I might start wearing shirts with pockets for that wallet. May even be able to beat off a grizzly with the Titanium version.

Okay, the gold nugget bar scenario may provide a whole new set of prospects. Nothing says smart money like gratuitous titanium.
