Small cargo trailers come pretty cheap, even new ones. A slight temporary conversion and you are on.
Good multi use investment.
Cheap? Funny....
About $1k per foot new and about $500 per foot used
Uh, not hardly.
Ordered a 14ft'er from the factory for $3,100.00 about 2 years ago. Paid more for high ceiling and extra wide. Works great, put a lot of miles on it since.

That is just awesome looking. I poked through their website for ideas and concepts to appply to my modest van conversion project - this trailer is very well thought through!
Looking forward to your reports and impressions when it comes in and you take it out there in some of those stunning Utah landscapes!

Kaufman 20' V-nose car hauler. Build it like you want have them add extras ie: windows, shore power,AC/heat etc. I haul around a RZR and have plenty room to live in it. Much cheaper than a POS toy hauler and a real fun project.

5' x 10' With a ramp, bought it 15 yrs ago for $1000.00, built storage and a 6 gun rifle rack in the front, put a awning on it, carried a 4 wheeler and all my junk, that I need to go camping fishing or hunting, it's been coast to coast and border to botder, it's been to all the campfire meetings in New Mexico, and 1 in Colorado, I don't know how many P.Dog shoots, Colo. Neb. Kan. duck hunts and pheasant South Dakota . North Dakota, put new tires on every couple of years, pack the wheel bearings before I leave first trip of the year. it beats the hell out of a tent, and we are always high and dry,, Most of the year it sits here by the house, works for me and my dog. Go with something with tandem axles, even on a light trailer. They ride far smoother on rough roads and don't tear your stuff apart. The 2d axle doesn't add as much weight as you might think.

Would be used in Texas, and the southwestern US. Easy to pull, durable and an easy way to heat would be great! Already some great suggestions and knowledge from those that have been down this road. Thank you all.
Be careful when going small. I bought a Jayco J Flight 19 RB Baja Series. Tows great, but going up for sale, I am going larger with a slide. At first I thought it was OK but after a three week trip with just my dog and I is was evident it was too small, Don't know if I could do a month!
