I have accumulated 10 elk points in WY and am thinking about applying for one of the limited draw units. Looking for recommendations on which unit(s) to take a run at. Although I have hunted mostly DIY for the past 15 years, this one will be guided. Also if you can recommend an outfitter that offers horseback wilderness hunts in the recommended unit, I would be grateful for that as well.
Thanks

Thanks And if anyone thinks I should hold out for max points, that's okay as well.

It would be an extremely long time to ever catch the max point units especially if WY ends up passing the 90/10 split.

There is a wildlife task force being assembled in Wyoming that will assist the fish and game committee and legislators on issues within the state. The 90/10 split is one of the issues im sure they will deal with. 90% of LQ tags for residents and 10% for Non residents is what has been proposed and failed before but seems to be a pressing issue with many Wyoming residents and is in line with many other states distribution of tags.

Go Hunt, is an excellent resource for data on most states, for a reasonable fee you can join and browse through the data and compare units.

You have more points than you need for a General tag, but if I wanted a wilderness horseback hunt in Wyoming I would first consider the Thorofare unit, unit 60.
There are no roads to unit 60. You have to go through another unit just to get to the Thorofare. It’s something like a 20-mile horseback ride to the unit. It’s the unit on the southwest corner of Yellowstone NP.
It’s a General Tag unit. You only need 2-3 points.

Are you willing to apply in the Special draw? What’s your budget? Grizzlies a concern?
