Never been a Redfield person but i take it this was an Leupold product. It has nice low profile turrents which I prefer and its an decent proportioned optic and not huge. Are these Redfield Rwvolitions halfway decent or a pass in your experiances?
Thanks

I see these for $250-$260 but im not aware of their value or quality. Thanks for your input. I was thinking of perhaps topping off a 270 with one.

I have 2 and they track pretty reliably. I would recommend them. For hunting scenarios of lighter weight and smaller profile I preferred it over my 6x SS. Not saying it is as dead reliable as the SS but has worked very well for me so far on two backpack hunts.

I have three of the USA built ones and they are fine. I bought them on clearance being told the "new" ones were moving to offshore construction. Any truth to this?

Ed, from a thread I started last month: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/15546097/re-redfield#Post15546097From Leupold Today:
Brad,
The Redfield line is discontinued at the beginning of the new year. We will likely build what is needed to fill current orders. We did have a couple of the lower priced ones made over seas but the Redfield Revolution is built in our factory in Beaverton OR.
Regards,
Mike

Bought two of the Redfield 2 x 7 versions of the Revolution. Put one on a 30-06 and the other on a 7x57. Used them for deer hunting. Worked well
My experience was that they were a pretty good value for the price.

Keeping one on a 700 .270.
Works great!
