have a chance to buy a vx-3 2.5x8 with a m1 turret in great shape whats a fair price?
friend has it and looking for a fair price.

What are you willing to pay your friend? Midway has the newer VX-3i 2.5-8X36 listed for $339 (coming soon) special order from Leupold. I'd say that makes a basic VX3 2.5-8X36 worth about $250-260 used. So I'd add in what you think the M1 dial is worth to you.

I would say $350 if you think the turret adds value. $250 if, as I do, think the turret detracts from the value of a compact/lightweight moderate magnification scope. JMHO.

I bought one new, from Gander before they closed for $244.00. VX3 2.5-8x36. To pay $350.00 for a used one is high for a discontinued model.

Please post a link to where you can buy a new or used 2.5-8x36 for under $350.

Your going out of business find was an anomaly and has absolutely nothing to do with the current going rate.

I bought a new fieldcraft for $1200 and used ones are now selling for close to $2K. Guess all those buyers don’t realize that’s a high price for a discontinued model 🙄.

Also- the VX3 being a premium over a VX-3i b/c they aren’t so squared off and ugly.
