My experience with Bertram brass goes way back. I used it in one of the metric cartridges to wildcat a cartridge about 20+ years ago. It was about as bad, both in annealing and consistency in thickness of both base and walls as anything had ever seen. Looked like a caveman had slopped it together. It was a complete waste of time and money. Strangely, I got a batch of Norma brass that was almost as bad. I posted here way back when, and I was informed that Norma had subcontracted some brass to US companies. Still, Bertram and Bell are the two worst manufacturers of brass I've ever encountered, in that order, and I've avoided them like the plague (Covid?) ever since. Haven't had occasion to use any of those 3 in the last few years so things could be different now. Best I've ever run across was RWS. Almost machined consistency, at least in the cartridges for which I purchased.
