LOL!!! June through November at least, other side on the sun. From our perspective Orion rises out of the eastern night sky in the late fall, travels incrementally further west across the night sky each night, and sinks into the west in the late spring. Prob’ly you knew this.

Betelgeuse is the red star in Orion. It's a red supergiant which means it's about to go supernova. "About" means any time in the next 100,000 years. When it does, it will be visible in the daytime for months. A year or so ago it faded in brightness--a lot. Brightness variation is a precursor of going supernova. However it turned out that interstellar gas was moving in front of it. Too bad. The supernova would be impressive.
