I'm curious what type of wood this is. I believe it is oak, but as there are no leaves, I cannot identify which type.

I've been cutting the wood in the front. A massive tree blew down in the neighborhood...one of the neighbors counted over 300 rings. I have taken 6 or 7 truckloads of it over the last 2 months, and now the branches that remain are pretty tangled with different pressure points. It's pretty dry wood, I've been burning it successfully once the fire is really hot.
