I've had all the model sevens too but can't bring myself to own one called the mannlicker. Only thing gayer would be if it somehow came in a 270

I remember those being in the $1800 range a few years ago. Not sure what it would bring in today's market. They are just so ugly IMHO. Some folks like them.

With the scope, I would give $1400-1500.

They are nice. The only only I’ve been around shot surprisingly well but not sure you want to be $2200 into it . In today’s market that maybe a bargain though. Who the heck knows?

I have one in .257 Roberts. It shot less then 1" groups with .257 Roberts Remington 117 grain ammo. Amazingly accurate. It has a very tight chamber and a custom shop barrel on it. The factory laminate stock is nice looking and tough stuff and it will be hard to beat it up and make it look bad.

PS. I decided to turn mine into a race car. Had it customized with 3 position Winchester type Safety, Steel floor plate and Steel buttpate. Then case colored and engraved. Above said, the stock gun shoots lights out and handles great. Mine was super to use in a deer blind situation.

PS. Pictures of mine on this website. It has the swarovski scope and wall to wall fiddleback.

I have one in 308 and I love it. It’s sub inch gun every time I’ve ever shot it. I’ve always like them. I missed one in 7-08 last year and was pissed for days....I don’t think it was even close $2200 and IMO a more desirable caliber than the 243.

I love Mannlichers. I've never handled the Custom Shop ones, but the laminate stock makes me hesitate and wonder if they'd be bit heavy or clunky? Before Remingtons and guns in general started jumping in value, I've seen the Model Seven Mannlichers for around $1200 bare. With the scope, that price may not be unreasonable in the current market.

I owned a Sako Mannlicher in .243, and it was a pig compared to the Remington. Much better made of course, but the stock was thicker and bulkier then the Remington Custom Shop gun. The Remington Shot better also. .257 Roberts is probably one of the rarest ones out there. 243 and 308 the most common IMO.
