What years were these rifles made and do you know what calibers they were available in. I am talking about the ones with the nice checkering and the square fore end

3006 270 308.
I think they started in 1966. Not sure when they ended.
There are left handers....I believe 1%? I think 308s are the rarest. 10-11k total if I remember correctly. They had humped receivers. I've seen a few fakes with BDL stocks. Not sure what the hump was for? IMO their metal finish is better and even the actions feel better. Maybe in my head. Still regret selling my 308 BDL. I wanted one with a nicer stock and haven't found it yet. That rifle was ridiculously accurate too.

I have one in 3006 I bought it new I think in 1981 its the deluxe with the square front and heavy basket weave.

I am talking about the ones with the nice checkering and the square fore end I have 4 of them, a 270 and 3x 30-06. There seem to be a lot more chambered in 30-06 than in 270 and a lot more chambered in 270 than in 308. The most recent production date code on them is 11/77.

I've had a couple of them in left hand Left handed 760?? Left side raised cheekpiece and the safety button works left to right.

The only ones I remember with the square fore end had that horrible basket weave impressed checkering.

I had one with square forend, basket weave checkering and the humped receiver. It was in bad shape, so I rebarrelled it to .338 Federal, coated it and put black laminate stocks on.
