I have a nice Balscope Sr that takes a screw on cover that has an internal thread and screws on over the entire eyepiece. It has been cracked since I got the scope many moons ago. It works, but is rather a delicate arrangement. Before I gift this scope to a young relative I would like to see if I can’t locate a cover that will fit it. It leaks dust now and they pack up into The Bob a lot in the summers and it would be nice for them to not have the lense all dusty.
It’s a dandy scope that gets little use here because we have so many others.
Anybody know where/if these are available. I remember a lot of high end scopes back in the 1960s and 70s took that same type of eyepiece cover.
