Need to ship small amount,

Print out the white/black symbol and tape it to the box?

what else?

create your own shipping label online and then just take to a shipping service center?

Or just take package to shipping center and have them complete all the details?

If I create the shipping label, do I type in Ammunition in the required field on their site?
It says ammo prohibited unless specifically stated under pg 136.....blah blah blah.........

For the box contents put "Limited Quantity Ammunition." At least that has worked for me. There is a limit of 60 pounds, if I remember correctly, for ammunition and said ammunition can't be over 50 caliber unless it's shotgun ammunition. The details are on the UPS site though it's not as easy to find as it should be.

You cannot take it to a UPS Store but you can take it to a main shipping center. Considering the price of gas and the distance to a shipping center in my area, I've found it more cost effective to have the box picked up at my home. The buyer should be paying for shipping anyway.

The black and white symbol is supposed to be attached point on point on the label side and must measure pretty close to a minimum of 4 inches. I attach mine first with glue and then with tape.

Measure and weigh your box, enter the details on the UPS site, pay and print your shipping label.

If you drop it at the Customer Center they’ll ask for ID & what is in the box? To which you reply: ammunition. And that’s it.

I highly recommend full wraps of the white stringy strapping tape on the box.

This was fairly painless,

Went to the UPS website, entered the required info including weight and dimensions of box, paid and then printed said shipping label,

Went online, found any picture of the required sticker and just simply printed that out on my computer, taped that sticker to the box and off to the drop off location by work,

showed him the sticker so he was clear on what it was, and asked, You can take this here?

He replied, yes, and off we go......

Next time, If I'm feeling extra frisky, I'll arrange for pick up from my house,

Gotta luv it.
