Who here puts their sunglasses on their hat when they aren't wearing them on their eyes?

Follow up question, why are some more expensive than others?

Personally I use polarized cheapo ones and they stay with my ball cap. When I go indoors they ride on the brim unless I take it off, then they go in the dome.

My clip-ons won't stay on my hat so they go in my shirt pocket.

I wear them on my hat sometimes. Better than wearing them on the back of my head when not in use.

I'm with you on the cheaper polarized glasses, as long as they have UV protection.

I do exactly this. Btw I use polarized $4 Walmart specials, they're in the fishing department, they work just fine.

Prescription Ray-Bans are what I have, I'm not chancing them falling off, getting scratched up, bending, etc. Sunglasses come off, regular glasses go on, both in and out of a hard case. Sucks being blind.

I let mine ride the bill of my cap so they'll be handy and I won't set them down somewhere and lose them. The problem is that if I'm indoors for an extended period, I forget that they are up there. The wife enjoys watching me wander about the house looking for them...she'll let me do that for twenty minutes or so before saying anything.

I've seen them on the bill of a cap, but never on the brim of a hat.

Shades of I Love Lucy. Fred would put his glasses on top of his head and forget them. When Ethyl told him where they were, his standard answer was 'If they'd been a snake they'd have bit me.'

I just started the sunglasses on the hat last summer. I used to leave them in the rig, but my eyes are so light sensitive anymore I wear them into most buildings.

The only time that I wear them (prescription) is when I am fishing from a boat and it is sunny. Any other time I just feel like my vision is being lessened.

Went to a school function here, at night, dark dark dark, local aristocratic comes in with two pair, one forward the other rearward-facing on his cap. I think it was Vortex... I knew I had seen an important man that night. A man ready for action. Ready to rule the night. A man bred and born, not only IN, but, OF the Big Sky. It left a lasting impression.

Used to do it a lot, until the 2nd time I scratched lenses on an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses when I forgot they were up there and they slid off when I bent over, or fell off when I took the hat off. Now they hang off the neck of the t-shirt, or into a pocket of a shirt when not worn. When fishing, they get the lanyard treatment.

I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can, so I can
Watch you weave then breathe your story lines
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can, so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes
While, she's deceiving me
It cuts my security
Has she got control of me?
I turn to her and say
Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no
Don't masquerade with the guy in shades, oh no
I can't believe it
'Cause you've got it made with the guy in shades, oh no

Exactly this. Have worn Rx Maui Jim's for a couple decades now. F'd up a couple pair before I wised up. MJs are the best sunglasses I've have worn, but they're spendy with their Rx lenses. I hate that feeling when they fall from your lid to the cement and you pick them up to survey the damage.
