That is a beautiful rifle. I have no experience with the
45-70gov cartridge. What is the most common use of the 45-70gov?

This gun really has me thinking that I need one👍 Elk, bear,deer, runaway trains. i have used a 45-70 for close to 60 years in one flavor or another. when facing something that makes a 30-06 feel like not enough gun, grab a 45-70. beautiful gun. wish i weren't downsizing.
