Looking to buy a trap gun for my daughter. I curently have a BT99 that she has been trying but she doesnt care for the 34" barrel and I would prefer the option of interchangeable chokes for her since mine is a fixed full. I would like to find a 28" or 30" barrel if possible I would consider over and under or single.
I am considering getting her a new one I just figured I would see whats out there first for used.
Thanks

I have a model 12 trap I could part with if that is of interest but it is a fixed full choke.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

you must mean 34" bbl not 24"... i would advise against 870 and o/u for recoil reasons you didnt say how old she is but there are 32" BT99s and i thought a youth version out there somewhere also lots of newer guns aimed at youth shooter from SKB and some turkish makers. several guns with womens stocks as well(pitched differently for women) choke tubes are the standard now so stay with them. you might do better on a trapshooting forum ...also have her try some guns if you can most shooters or clubs will let you. stay with light loads for recoil reasons as well. good luck Larry in Reno

I have a few options if you want to consider a semi auto or pump:
1) Winchester SX1 with 30" barrel that has had Briley extended thin wall chokes installed (IM, LM & Skt) plus porting and forcing cones lengthened. Also has the 26" skeet barrel if wanted. This is very soft shooting but may be too long and heavy for a young lady and it has killer factory wood that I would hate to see modified.
2) Remington 1100 tournament trap (Trap-T) with 30" fixed full step rib barrel and very nice wood and monte carlo stock. Also has a 28" choke tube barrel if you wanted to start with that before stepping up to the step rib full which is probably the best factory trap barrel Remington ever made. Same notes may apply to weight and cutting on the wood.
3) Winchester Model 12 built up trap with 30" vent rib full choke barrel. Shoots well but stock has a repaired crack and could stand to be refinished so this one would be a good candidate (i.e. lower $) to shorten, put on an adjustable comb and open up the choke.
If you would have an interest in any of these, shoot me a pm and I can provide more details and photos if appropriate.
