This is about my best 5 shot group ever; if it wasn't for that dang low "flyer"!

Worked about the same in a Tikka I had. seems to be good reports on using them on game, but I have not had the chance yet.

Check out Pat’s portfolio of Deceased by Scenar critters, many from that very bullet.

nice tight group,
It's not that I doubt you, but 2845 is possible with 41.5 grains?
You're well over 200fps faster than I could ever find with under 42 grains.

You're well over 200fps faster than I could ever find with under 42 grains. Yeah, that's what my chrono gave me. This is with a 26" barrel. Factory 143 ELD X's showed 2765 tested at the same time. Hornady claims 2700 fps, but I think that is with a 24" barrel. I came across this thread and the velocity does not seem unreasonable? https://www.65creedmoor.com/index.php?topic=506.0

I've got a Remington 700 with a CF-wrapped Mullerworks barrel. It's chambered for 6.5 CM, and it also likes the 139gr Scenar with 41.5gr H4350. I haven't chronographed them, yet. I had my barrel chopped at 22-inches, so I guessing they'll be a fair bit slower than yours.

With a 136gr Scena L I’m getting 2800 fps with 42.3 grs of H-4350. Rifle has a 24” barrel and seems somewhat slow with factory ammo.

Good shooting BTW

Good shooting BTW I sent you a PM, but figured I'd post my findings here, as well... I ran my 139gr Scenar loads (41.5gr H4350, Fed 210M, Hornady cases, 2.825" COAL) over the Magnetospeed today. My 5-shot ave velocity was 2653fps with an ES of 29fps and SD of 13. It was a chilly morning; temps in the teens.

My Barrett really like the 139s. I load RL16 for ~2800 out of a 21” barrel.

I also tested RL16 at both 70deg and 12deg and there was no change in velocity. I use the exact same load for 140 Partition, 139 Scenar and 140 Berger Hunting VLD. Alliant load data has 140s around 2820 so at the upper 2700s to 2800 I am definitely up there with a 21" barrel.

I'd really like to try some 139 scenars when they come in stock somewhere, those suckers are hard to find.
