I've been on Xarelto for almost 20 years due to a slight case of A-Fib. 20mg. No side effects at all, the only thing I can't do is use certain OTC pain meds like Advil , Aleve or Aspirin have to stick with Tylenol. Blood thinner has not effected my shooting at all, still shoot around 5000 trap rounds a year and my deer hunting is done with a 308. I don't feel I bleed any worse than when I was not on it, but I do bruise easily.

Been on them and other cardio meds for several years . Including triple bypass , shoot 10 gauge for deer hunting with hounds and 300 Winchester and Weatherby . Full house 45/70’s also . So far no problem . But check yourself after shooting if you see anything that alarms you , get medical advice . Everyone may not have the same reaction to recoil . One of our cardiologist is an active shooter and hunter . Throwing that in so you don’t feel everyone of them will be negative . Kenneth

Have been on thinners for 6 years with out any problems except one. That was a light weight rifle in 33-378 WBY bruised the crap out of me it was handed to me while I was on the bench by my brother in law. 100% my fault.

Xarelto - believe it's going to 15 mg. Told to be careful - yeah, me! He said he'd prefer I got someone to repair my fences (bob-wahr) I asked if he was volunteering, as I can't find help. He politely declined the invitation. Mark that's the first thing I thought about when I read your post. I can't seem to fix a fence or close a wire gate without poking myself and bleeding. Welding gloves help a lot but they don't help at all unless you put them on.

Recoil won’t be a problem, but a scope cut on the forehead will send you to the clinic. Be super careful field dressing game or handling broadheads. A cut resistant glove on the weak hand is good insurance while handling a knife. Falls can be dangerous or deadly, which can make treestands dicey. Most folks do fine and you probably will too.

On Xarelto. Only thing I notice is I bleed easy and as far as shooting, I can't hit anything. Oh, wait, I was like that before.

Keep a hanky handy maybe clot powder in the truck. I'm on warfarin and I bruise at a hard look.
Bangflop! another skinning job due to .260 and proper shot placement.

My dad has a titanium heart valve so he is on Coumadin and they keep him on the thin side. He gets recoil headaches now if he uses a 12gauge after about three shots so he started using a 20gauge and has been good. Dr told him the blood thinners had an effect on the his brian fluid so was his brain hitting the inside of his skull when there was heavy recoil.
