Catalina style taco salad and garlic bread.

Made some what I call “redneck borek” last night. Simple water, salt, and flour dough. I put burger, onion, parsley, and S/P in it. Roll it up and cook in the cast iron with some olive oil. Make a cheese sauce with butter/flour roux, milk, cheese, and S/P. My boys love the stuff. Don’t mind the paper plates, it was dad night for dinner and I was feeling lazy about dishes! Haha!

Nice, haven't had a rolled borek in decades. Some Slavic restaurant in Hayward back in the 90's I used to go to when visiting corporate office.

I don’t get all fancy with the phyllo dough, but my boys aren’t fancy and don’t care! Haha!

Although I cut all my meat & grind our burger, I don't do cased sausage.

Just not set up for it.

Years where we have an abundance of grind chunks, I'll send some away for Brats, Smokies &/or pepperettes.

I typically send it to North Country Meats, in Thunder Bay, 4 hours away.

& to ensure that I only get "my meat" back, I usually send in Feb/March ( well out of season).

Same place I buy the thick cut Butchers bacon.
