Tomorrow being Mothers day,we are taking my wife out to dinner at her favorite place,took my youngest out yesterday to get some flowers and a card.
My oldest daughter is coming up from Brooklyn with boyfriend and choc. Lab
(I've had better conversations with the dog than the boyfriend,i like the dog better).My daughter says i "intimidate" him. I don t know how as i am such a calm ,pleasant,even tempered kind of guy ,lol . But i promised my wife i'd behave myself so we can have a nice day.We ll see,lol.He does not respond well to pranks nor does he like the nick name,"Soy-Boy".He seems alright,but would not be my first choice for my daughter,or as a son in law.I'm kinda hoping it just sorta ends on its own.Hope everyone has a nice Mothers day,with or without added Millienial "guests".

It is Mother's Weekend here as the two boys that made it here were available on different days. My youngest and DIL just left after a brief visit. We spent the day and had dinner (burgers) with them on Friday. Yesterday my middle son and future DIL and her Mother and Grandmother (first time we have met them) arrived yesterday. We met in town and dropped into a bar for a cocktail then dinner at a nice restaurant. Today the latter gang is sorting out wedding plans as the wedding will be here at the house. A taqueria lunch and lasagna for dinner is in works.
Conduct is the best proof of character.

Wife is a fishing fanatic, but I haven't gotten her out on the water in almost two years. I put a hitch on the Xterra, built new floors for the boat and cleaned it up. We're heading out tomorrow. Happy Mothers Day!
Her grown kids live in Florida. They sent their mom a pretty generous gift.

got a nice 10lb brisket at sams club and its going on the WSM tonight around 10. tomorrow i'm turning the hall closet into a pantry so my wife doesn't have to go up and down the stairs as much. kids are all home so we'll have a pig out tomorrow night.
