Great group and gorgeous rifle! I never had a 416 but had a 460 for a decade or so. They are fun for a spell.

Very VERY nice rifle. One of our PH's, Daniel Makler, uses an exact twin to your rifle as his dangerous game backup gun. Iload my 416Rigby up to near 416WBY ballistics and I am kinda with horse1, I can shoot it well for a little while but I do NOT like it. I use it when I need it. Is this your Elk rifle now? I think you have 'enough gun' here

I bought it for Africa...someday right? Yeah right.... Anyway I shoot it with the brake on. I have killed 3 antelope with it so far. Might as well use it right?

A golf course is a sad misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.

Great rifle only because I have one. I can't see the pictures either. Here is my 416WBY made in Japan with a brake and my round I use. the bigger one of course My average velocity is 2930fps, shooting .625" at 100yds. The 350gr TSX is outstanding. My OAL was 3.750" I have put a Leupold VX III 2.5-8x36mm with Wide Duplex for acquiring my target faster and it really is a nice scope with sharp picture and tracked well even after the recoil of the 416. Here are my load ballistics. Muzzle 2930fps - eng. 6671 pounds 2750fps +3 1/2" 100yds - eng. 5876 pounds 2577fps +4.04" 200yds - eng. 5161 pounds 2410fps - .73" 300yds - eng. 4516 pounds 2250fps -11.5" 400yds - eng. 3935 pounds 2096fps -29.3" 500yds - eng. 3414 pounds 1948fps -54.6" 600yds - eng. 2950 pounds I can hit out to about 370 then hold cross hair on top of shoulder and hit out to 430 to 450 on deer and elk size game and a little further on moose. Will work real well on big bear. Now this does not mean I will get the chance to make a long shot, nor take one unless I am sure of my shot. I will not take a long shot on dangerous game. I will practice at long range to get use to it and make sure that my ballistic calculations are close to right. Sometimes a ballistice program will not be exactly what you get in the field. But this load will be devastating up close or far off. What ever it hits it will be dead. This 416WBY completes my trio of Weatherbys.

Yup I love it! the 330 GS has a bc of over .5. At 3080 fps it has the trajectory of a 300 wby with a 200 gr accubond.

I don't see the pics either but after owning 3 of them, understand the pleasure they bring. I miss my first one, which was a rebarreled Mark V action in a Fibermark stock. Light but a great shooter. Don't miss the next two.
Don't miss any compared to the real thing, the .460. When it shoots 400's @ 2750fps it is still idling along with mild pressure whereas the .416 is stretched. Even better is you still have another 200 grains to spare on the top end that will load to 2460fps. That 600 grainer will get you every one of those 8064 foot pounds of energy you are likley to need.

Yes, the 460 is awesome but more than I want, I just feel comfortable with the 416 and can hold my groups under an inch each time I fire my load. I have never fired a 460WBY but that would be interesting.

A .460 can shave the groups to .5MOA and often less and put 5 shot groups under MOA with more reglularity that many common cartridges. You can win bets on the accuracy, at least, you can with mine.

IMO, the Classicmark is the nicest looking rifle that Weatherby has ever produced. Yours is one of the nicer looking ones I have ever seen.
Nice rig!
