While cleaning out my FIL’s shed I found SNOW SKIS!!!

I mean who the heck has snow skis in South Carolina??? I’ve only seen one other pair in my entire life an I’m almost 60, it took looking at them for almost a minute to realize what they were!

Look to be from the 70’s, and look to be in as new condition. Can anyone tell me anything about these and their ballpark worth, or should I give them to goodwill???

Ancient creatures, those boards. 150cm would be for a child or very small person. Bindings likely not safe. No value, even used modern skis sell very cheap. Goodwill all the way unless you can find someone who collects not so old unusable ski gear.

Highest and best use:
Wall decor in someone’s mountain cabin.

Sell them on Craigslist as: Laminated wood building material/construction.

They get used to make chairs, furniture etc. Wall-hangers too.

In the 60's and 70's, those were almost top of the line. IIEC, Atomic was a sub brand of Kneissel or Kastle and the Look bindings were the cats meow. Had them on my White Stars. Opinions are pretty correct, after this long I would not trust the bindings to release properly, and the edges on the skis have probably rusted out. Bases may still be good, but they really are just mementos of an age gone by.

Goodwill you say???? Supporting one of the biggest scams in the country. News headline few days ago,"Goodwill Doesn``t Want Your Broken Toaster" . Seems that lots of people are dropping off their "junk" and the cost of disposing of it for Goodwill is running into big bucks. Probably one of the few legitimate bills that this organization pays. Can`t think of a better place to unload junk/trash. Only in America !! Get non-profit status....set up stores...have people bring you the inventory for free...sell sell sell....pay the supposed disabled employees a pittance...pay the higher ups a fortune .....and laugh at the stupidity of the general public .

They look to be old rental skis from probably the late 70's, early 80's I am thinking and not worth much as mentioned above. Cool things can be made from that old stuff!

Build some Pinterest stuff and sell at the farmers market.

Yard signs. Birdhouses. Wind chimes. Etc.

Turn those into 💵💵

They look like cross country bindings and NOT down hill. Two different animals. I'd put them in the Free Classifieds and see what happens. Get good pictures of the bindings so the potential buyer knows what boots they will need .

I got a look at the bindings. They are not cross country but they are down hill. That was a great brand of ski many years ago.

Whoa there's my missing Atomic Arcs! I bought those in Vicenza Italy in 1982 just before a weekend ski trip to Madonna Di Campiglio .... where the heck did you find them? Newberry County? Charleston County? Lexington County?
