I recently won a Sig Sauer P365 in a drawing , but with the ammo being unobtainium without hocking my first-born child , I have not shot it yet. I got the idea I might like to have a .22 pistol that would be the same configuration, maybe a conversion unit, but an internet browse yielded no joy. Anyone got ideas?

Go ahead and trade the kid for ammo, you can always have another, if you're sure you need one.

The Ruger SR-22 is a good unit.

And you can find .22LR in your area? If you can, buy it.

No ammo in a 100 mile radius of me. What little that does come in is gone within minutes.

Save the P365. Everything I have read are seen on it is good. When things settle down, the Ruger Mark IV is on my short list.

The Ruger is not the same configuration - but I have shot two. I really like them and think that generation is a real improvement over prior generations. Upgrades are readly available.

Saw some 22LR at a local yard sale. $100 a brick. They had 4 bricks that morning. I stopped by after breakfast. They had one brick left. This ammo shortage may last awhile.

Thanks for the comments so far. I have a locker full of .22 ammo, more than I can possibly shoot up in my remaining lifetime, I stocked up when the stocking up was good. I also have a Ruger MK1 that I shoot every so often. Just want something closely resembling the Sig.

I've had 'em all. I liked most. Get an old Ruger Single Six. They seem to be one of the guns that always stay around.

A few years ago I bought a Ruger SR22 with the intention of later selling it (legally) to a relative who was getting a concealed carry license. The relative backed out and I was stuck with the SR22....I don't regret owning it for a second. Great, great, great little shooter.

I really like my Taurus TX 22. Full sized and very lite. Mine is very accurate. It just feels right to me.

The OP asks about a gun similar to his Sig P365 and has goddam idiots recommending everything from luger style pistols to phuhging single action revolvers.
