Wondering for those of you that have experience, which utility UTV has the best ride? I’ve been in older UTV’s that are so stiff you feel every rock you go over, and I’ve been in some of the new trail riding ones that ride like a dream. Is there a utility (with a bed) UTV, not a trail riding one one with the smaller bed, that also offers a good ride? Initially looking at the Polaris ranger. Thanks for your input.

Suspension is adjustable. Preload is adjustable on all the machines I've looked at but you'll find rebound adjustable on aftermarket shock such as Fox. My Fox suspension RZR rides smoother than the factory sprung ride. Your local dealership should be able to set up a UTV to meet your needs. Or you can join one of the forums, ask, and do the work yourself.

We fought fire with a BLM crew that had a Kubota utv.
They would literally draw straws to see who walked and who drove.
Looser drove.

Best Ride goes to the Mule Pro Ranch model. https://www.kawasaki.com/en-us/side...-pro-fxt/2021-MULE-PRO-FXT-Ranch-EditionI have a Mule 4010 that rides really well, but the Mule Pro Ranch is the Cadillac of UTV's. .............. IF you can find one. They are sold out most places.

Some tires are so stiff that you can almost run them with no air at all. When inflated, they're a bit on the rough side.

Looser drove. That's pretty funny. For the OP, do a little research on the work-related models and see what folks have to say on the forums. It seems like most of the action these days is given to the sport and sport-crossover machines, but there are still some out there who work with their machines and need some cargo area. Me and two hunting buddies all bought new machines in the last couple years. I went with an upper end Kawasaki Mule (FXT Pro Ranch) for the extra row of seats, another went with a basic 1000cc Polaris Ranger because of the cost and the power, and the third went with the Honda Pioneer 1000 with the flip up rear seats, as he seldom has passengers. All ride pretty dang well. The Honda is the sportiest and fastest, but not the best on cargo. The Polaris is basic and familiar, plus a lot cheaper . The Mule isn't sporty at all, but rides fairly soft and is built to carry bigger loads or large crews of folks. All of them are fine for chores and running woods roads at 35-40mph if you need to.
Now with even more aplomb

For ranch/farm work, you'll trade towing and payload capacity for a smoother ride. While I loved the way that Mule Pro Ranch rode, it just won't tow or pull a trailer like my Mule 4010... Same goes for pickups.

My Pioneer 700-4 is a whole different machine once I put Tusk Terrabites on it and ditched the factory tires.

Soft tires are flat all the time though. I have a set Sedona Ripsaws on my RZR. They're stiff all right. I don't mind because we often ride in rocks and they're very rock resistant.

We have a 2021 Yamaha Wolverine X4 XT-R. Pretty amazing ride. Love it. I spent the day yesterday riding a buddy around in it in some pretty rough terrain. He kept commenting how smooth the ride was and how responsive the machine was.

I have 900 xp eps Polaris Ranger, heated cab, power windows, triple seater. Windshield wipers/washer. gobs of power & speed, more than I need. I like it, heat is one thing i won't do without again. I use it alot in winter. Always starts even at -20, cab is warm in 10 minutes. I have had Yamahas & Cats liked em all. This machine is definitely not a putt putt like them tractor made's which might be the way to go if a lot of farm work is involved.
I would have got him too but a Dad Blam snow flake hit me in da eye....
