So, dump box has old dual wheels. Three of them are the suicide type, What would it take to use the old rim centers, and weld them to a buggered up 22 1/2" rim? Doing it so it has singles?

I'm sure it can be done but from a liability standpoint I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole. I don't do wheels and very rarely trailers.

Wabi - you pulling that thing with a tractor, or using it strictly on the place?

Ahhh - I now see the tractor's rears! Farm use only makes a liability difference vs. public road use.

They weld them when they make them. Welded correctly by a certified welder will work perfectly

Speeds under 20 MPH.
New wheels are like 535$ each.
With truck tires 1500.

Done it many times. Back in the day everyone was building dune buggies on VW frames. Had to cut VW rims and weld to get wide wheels. Works great. I am retired now so no equipment. That was also before lawyers and whiners.

Nothing to it for a decent welder. Just get it centered well.

Seems no one saw the smiley after the wheel balance comment! Is that enough of 'em?
