Screw 'em Steely. Almost all of those rifles look good.

I ahve bought two McMillans in the last year or so. The first a swirly/compact edge was perfect in every way. The second a edge/compact was less than perfect giving the inlettingaround the action was pretty jaled up and took alot of workl to get it to fit right. A lot less work than a Banser, or Brown though.

Some of those colors...I guess so's you can find your gun after a nap in the woods? Your imagination is working overtime with those schemes. Like that chopped Whelen....and the other work w/o the glare. Glad you're having a good run with your McGuns.

Mr. Steelhead: Thanks for posting the pictures. I must admit that I am inclined toward traditional black walnut for stock material. In particular, I liked the full length stock. As I was viewing the pictures, my youngest daughter, for whom Ive built the .250AI looked over my shoulder and expressed a strong fondness for the McSwirly pattern stocks. I am writing you to say thanks for giving me another in with my kids. As a father trying to involve and interest my kids in what I love, Ive found that hunting and firearms have faced a lot of competition from other areas. In my opinion, if non-traditional stock patterns get even a couple kids interested in shooting sports that makes them OK with me. Just one dads thought on the matter. Thanks again. Dwayne

Wonder if any Jarheads wrote Kelly a letter and bitched about this stock.... Jarheads don't b!tch about equipment. We just adapt and overcome. Make do, is the old-school terminology, and it applies mightily. That said, 'tis hard to dislike the McMilly rigs so configured.
