1980s model for sale couple hours away. Looks pretty cool. Would make a heck of a farm car for the listed 300.00. Stated to run. Been wrecked. Door wont shut. I could run it doorless in the worst case.
Anyone know anything about them or current parts availability?

I thought they were cool when I was about six...
mostly for the rear facing seats in the bed with the joystick like oh-chit handles..
mostly i just wanted to ride around in those seats...

Bought a new one back in late 70's...although the 4x4 wagon...great little truck This is before the Lesi's took em over When I moved from west PA in '79 to Utah...I actually loaded it in the back of a Ryder rental truck---  The 'Brat' was always extra cute

My uncle on Dad's side had one on the farm for quite a while. He was very pleased with his, but the seats in the back were seldom in it. The tiny back carried a few bales of hay or other farm stuff.

In 4wd I have seen one go places you would not beleive in maine.
Inaccesable twitch trails going into trout streams and brooks when they cut the st regeis rd in the late 70,s and early 80 s .
Just needed a topo map and my friends brat with snow tires on it
And a general direction on a new cut logging rd.
Get bottomed out.
4 guys on one side lift up.
Brace it up on a log
Fill up ruts on that side.
Repeat on other.
On your way.
Hit alot of never before fished areas back then riding in his brat.

Is that GA state law? Yep. Let's be truthful, that's an urban/suburban thing that they don't really enforce much. Law designed to keep a pickup truck full of Hispanics from losing one on the highway during rush hour. Liability is why Suburu got rid of those jump seats.
