I have a Ford F150 FX4 Ext Cab. One of the General tires it came with (after 26000 miles) blew out the side wall last night. (255 70 17) I am replacing them tomorrow with Bridgestone Dueler Revo's 285 70 17. What will the speedometer difference be ?

You will be off 5.3% not mph but %. It will also be 1.2 inches wider so make sure nothing rubs when the suspension is in full travel with the wheels turned all the way to lock.

It will be fine to get you where you need to go to get your tire fixed.
