That's too bad about the sign. I always liked it. Yes, I know the car you are refering to. Does it still head for a dryer climate in the winter?

Yes, as do most things tourist related. Was a much better town 20 years ago.

Yep, could be said about alot of our hometowns. Were alot better 20 years ago. I don't think we had the quantity of hot girls back then that the college is cranking out now, though.

Doing well. Spent most of the summer working on stream restoration projects in central Washington (Wenatchee area). Headed for the St. Joe this week to do some fishing before school starts up again. I'll holler at you when I get back.

So what happened to the sign? It was there last September. I was hunting with Ed Toribio last September and while I was in "Tourist Mode" I was roving around like a Wolverine, taking inventory of everything that I was interested in, waiting for the last cruise ship to leave so that I could pick up some good deals. The day after the last ship pulled out, you would think that a Hurricane was coming. All the shops (except the ones open year round) were boarded up, it was like a ghost town. I liked it so much that I was trying to figure out how to move to K-town but I couldn't sell the wife on the idea. Of course I would have to take some flying lessons and buy a Super Cub so that I could fly in and do some Goat hunting over in the Misty.

We've had 10 deaths via floatplanes in the past 3 weeks or so.

You ever go into Tongass Trading post on the dock? You have had to of seen that HUGE Brown Bear as you come in thru the entrance off the street. My Goat guide shot that thing.
You never did say why that big Ketchikan sign was not there any more.

How about the Soho Coho, you ever get down there? I saw a Bald Eagle and a couple of Seals in the creek the day I went there. I got a couple of the coffee mugs with the Raven's Blend logo's. My wilfe really liked the Raven's Blend coffee.
