yes we have a groid problem also in LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - By WKYT News Staff
Published: Jul. 16, 2021 at 5:18 AM EDT.....Police are investigating a shooting that injured at least one person in downtown Lexington.
Police told WKYT that an officer heard 20-25 shots fired near the Lexington Public Library on Main Street around 2:30 Friday morning.
Officers responding to the area saw a car fleeing. Police said that car was later wrecked on Mill Street near Maxwell Avenue.
One person inside the car was taken to the hospital with what police described as a minor gunshot wound.
WKYT also witnessed one person in handcuffs at the scene of the crash. According to an arrest citation, that person was 29-year-old Jalontai Wilson. The citation says Wilson was in the passenger seat of the wrecked car and he had a gun with the slide locked back and an empty magazine. Wilson is currently facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Wilson has not been charged in connection with the actual shooting..... iam assuming they never used the library to lift up their education ... ironicly the main police station is at the other end of the block. they dont care
