I have a pair of Nikon 8x40 binoculars for sale I purchased new in the 90's. I actually thought I had the box but cannot find it. I believe they are Monarch's but it does not say it on the binoculars. I thought the box might have said Monarch. They are made in Japan and very comparable in clarity to the Nikon Monarch 8x30 7's I have. These are in excellent condition as I only carried them to a few college football games and various sporting events. They have sit on the shelf much more than they have ever been used. I just prefer the smaller compact binoculars for my uses. $200 shipped.
Due to interest from another member I did confirm with Nikon these are Monarch's.
By the way, I am 2 for 2 with Nikon customer service on providing excellent service. One was a repair a couple of years ago and this inquiry just needing some information.
