I use a 5.11 trainer belt. Its stiff enough to carry a full size 1911 and not sag. Stuff like polymer guns are no problem with their lighter weight. I also like how there are no belt holes and you can cinch it up and down to the right tightness instead of being between holes. Cons? It looks “tactical”.

https://www.hanksbelts.com/collections/leather-gun-belts.25" x 1.25"-1.50" leather for civilian carry. A bit thicker and wider for field use.

I have been using a 5.11 both leather and nylon. They are good but not great. I will be watching this to see other options.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Beltman 1.25” Horsehide. I replaced the buckle with the heavier brass buckle from my old worn out Diamond D fancy stitch belt but otherwise it’s rock solid. I can carry a 5” full lug N frame comfortably all day with no sag.

One-size doesn't fit all for me. There are good suggestions here for full-size handguns and heavy holsters, but just like the holster itself, my belt choice depends on the size and weight of the handgun.

This is what I've been using for 30 years. I'm on my third one. I wouldn't consider another brand or model. Galco

If it doesn’t have to be leather, I’m a big fan of the Area Aegis. Mine has the polymer liner. https://www.aresgear.com/

I picked up a DeSantis belt awhile back. It is an excellent gunbelt, but it screams "GUNBELT!!!!!" about as loud as a 1960s Western movie rig. Living in Kentucky, it's no big deal, no one GAS. It's pretty comfortable, though, and carries a 1911 or heavy revolver pretty well.

I have found the ones from Ladder 34 work great. Made from fire hose and they are damn strong. Plus with that buckle no need to worry about hole position

I live around the corner from Amish country where they have a boot and harness shop that I go to. Cheapest name brand boots and they all so make belts. Nothing fancy about the belts but they are the thickest I’ve ever seen. And a heavy duty buckle I have two and they’ll last me the rest of my life. Last time I was there they were $20

Just a question, do any of you use a gun belt that carries your gun, extra mags, or speed loader in conjunction with your regular belt?
I guess if you were an LEO, it would be considered a "duty belt".
I've made a few 2" belts from 15-ounce leather and it is easier to carry when out in the woods.
I'd rather die in a BAD gunfight than a GOOD nursing home.

I was about to start a thread on this, been needing a good belt. What about KORE essentials reinforced 1.5" leather belt? It adjusts in 1/4" increments which would be really nice. They cost $60 so I was hoping someone else has tried one before I buy one.

A good gun belt does not have to be thick. In fact, if they are too thick the holster and mag carriers won't slide on the belt. Thickness is a poor substitute for better materials and construction.

I prefer the look and feel of good quality cowhide belt with proper heavy stitching, tanned my color and contour cut. I’ve stuck with Milt Sparks belts for forty years and they are still better than any of the others I’ve thrown money at. They aren’t the cheapest but like good boots I’ll pay and wait for the quality and comfort/performance. Sparks belts are contour cut to fit right from day one, no break in. They are top grade cowhide two piece stitched together to provide enough strength for any of their holsters yet comfortable. Of course you’ll have to wait a bit to have one made but it’s more than worth it.

I was going to buy one of these... https://www.abetterbeltusa.com/contour-belts-the-perfect-fit-belt/...but I bought a Kore belt "temporarily" and it's still going after five years.

What reasonable priced gun belts do you like for carrying purposes. Thank you What you need is stiff, relatively thin leather of appropriate width. I would look at Challenger Horsewear Men's Western Rodeo Fashion Tooled Floral w/ Basket Weave leather belt from Walmart. The cost is $30. Ask specifically about this offering perhaps someone has experience using one.

I have been using the A Better Belt USA Ultimate Rlephant Gunbrlt everyday for the past 3 years and it still looks brand new. It has carried everything from a full size 1911, .480 Ruger Super Blackhawk to my current Wilson EDC X9 without sagging or developing a curve. It has been perfect and still looks beautiful and pisses off liberals when I tell them what it is made of. Before that I wore A&G Custom Gun Leather, Beltman and Ross Leather Works

What size belt do you wear? I have a Big Foot gun belt with the steel core liner and it is their thick model. I have never worn it since it is so thick and I prefer my Elephant hide belt. It is around 42” I have no need and if it would fit you you can have it. I will check on the exact size

I have 3 belts from CrossBreed Holsters: A "Classic Gunbelt", an "Executive Gunbelt", and one of their nylon belts. I have been using them for several years now, and have been pleased with them.

To each they’re own. And you shouldn’t be in such a hurry to throw your money away when there’s no need to. I’m not going to get into a pissing match with you over who’s belt is better. You like yours and I like mine.

I ordered a leather kore brand gun belt today. They have a lot of good reviews. I'll get it early next week, & I'll report back as to the quality.

I got the Kore brand belt I ordered. It's not real thick, but very rigid. Wore it all day with a full size pistol in a leather holster & it seems good. I'll use it when it cools down & I can hip carry under a jacket.

You neither live in America, nor have a Walmart within 1,000 miles of you, but feel compelled to give advice about a product that you have never actually used. As an aside, a Chinese built Walmart "Fashion" belt is about the last thing a person should be considering when trying to find a high quality belt that is specifically designed with concealed carry of a handgun in mind.

This pic with Clint Smith is from 2019 . The belt I am wearing is one that was built for me in 1999 by the Milt Sparks crew for my wedding. 20+ years of use and it is still perfectly serviceable. Sometimes a little wait, and paying a little more are worth it to get something that will last substantially longer than the Harbor Freight/Chinese versions. In non leather, the Wilderness belts have proven to be quite good. I especially like the Frequent Flyer version. Lightweight and easy to adjust to just the right size. I have used them for years, they provide a good value. They are also worth paying a bit more over the knock off versions.

I was going to suggest this......, but most Americans carry big high capacity guns which require stiff belt of appropriate width. The one I use is very nice and inexpensive, but not rigid enough to support heavy gun rig.
