As many of us are aware, canning jars and lids have been rather scarce lately.
Ball and Kerr are rare and expensive when you find them.
I purchased some generic lids several months ago, they pretty much sucked as a 20-25% failure to seal rate isn’t acceptable.
Today I ventured into town and found a goodly supply of jars and lids under the “Pur” brand. Priced right as well
Anyone here used the Pur brand and care to share your experience?
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Yep, I have a buddy who owns an Ace Hardware and that's all they've been able to offer for quite a while. The report on the Pur brand is not very good. Problems sealing and he is getting a good number of them returned from displeased customers who are old hands at the game, so they probably know what they are talking about.
I'd avoid them if possible, but would make do with them if that's all I could get.

A month ago, our Ace Hardware finally got the 3 pallets of Ball jars that he ordered Spring of 2020. He also got in a goodly amount of the Pur lids. I passed on the Pur in favor of the Ball.
