Handled a Rolling block carbine today, with a saddle ring, and approx. 18" barrel. No caliber stamping anywhere, Im assuming 43 Spanish or 43 Egyptian, I was hoping for a 7mm Mauser but no such luck. Any of you guys familiar with the carbine model? Regards, Jericho.

Jericho, I have the Layman book on military rollers at hand. Do you have a specific question?

If you pick this thing up be sure you establish the chambering. Remington sold theseall over the world in chamberings that are all over the place. If it has the large (black powder) firing pin you could have anything. Good Luck!
