Looking for input. Primary use will be snow plowing a very long driveway. Secondary use will be 1-2 weeks of hunting and some minor tree hauling, rock moving and yard work.

I haven't seen either unit in person because no dealer actually has any in stock. They are taking pre-orders on wait-list for delivery in October, maybe. My closest dealer is Yamaha 20 min drive, else, Honda is 1.5 hours away

I like the idea of having a bit more power in the Yamaha, especially at elevations over 11k ft. I would want automatic or EPS for both.

What brand plow would you buy? One version of the Yamaha Grizzly comes standard with a Warm winch which looks interesting to me, but either ATV can be properly equipped by the dealership.

Thoughts?

Yamaha Grizzly 700 with EPS hands down in my opinion. Have my third one outside right now......10 year drive belt warranty....no one in the industry offers anything close to that....theres a reason why too, Yamaha's are dependable and powerful!

Good Luck!

Oh, yes, I have the Winch on the fornt of mine as well. I went with the synthetic wire rope this time, but have not fully tested it yet to give an opinion on it. Does pay out easier than steel wire....

Grizzly 700 with EPS is what I have, along with a Kodiak 450. Rode my brothers Honda Rubicon, it was an older model 2004 I think, and that thing beat me to death and wore my arms and should out.

Nobody makes a better ATV than Yamaha in my opinion.

Edit: I did not read the OP post very well and now see that the Honda he is considering has EPS which would obviously handle better than the older model I rode. I assume that the Rubicon still has full time 4wheel drive therefore would assume even with the EPS it is still not going to handle as well as the Grizzly, but this is just speculation on my part.

I ride maybe 80% of the time in 2wheel drive which allows you to steer in much tighter conditions than when in 4wheel drive, and definitely better when the front differential is locked.
