I have found a really good load for my 7-08 using the 150 gr Sierra Game King - dang near same hole grouping at 100 yds. Only concern in MV is 0nly 2525 fps. Like Barnes but they are not available. Anyone using the Hammer bullets? If so, what load are you using?

300 yards longest - generaly speaking. Hunting power lines and I have taken a doe at 400 before.

at that velocity why not use the sierra

For white tails or hogs, try 38-40 gr of H-380 & Nosler 120 gr ballistic tips, IF AVAILABLE.

Okie john - barrel length is 20" - twist is 1:8.7
