After many complications from Lupus and RA an infection ,MRSA, from a knee replacement got him. He grew up on a ranch south of Alice, TX and was a kind man. He guided in South Texas and Mexico for years. He taught me ranching, hunting and to let go the small stuff. He has one of the best low fence deer in Texas. Both within a few years of each other. Very tough stuff.

Sorry for you loss - I lost my father last January and will go through my first deer season without him. I plan to honor that hunting legacy by using his old Win. M70 30/06 this year. Hope you can find a way to do something similar.

Sorry for your loss! I lost my father and 56 year hunting and fishing partner two years ago. I have to say, it still sucks!

Man, that's too bad.
My son is my best and pretty much only hunting and fishing buddy these days.
