Got three! Nothing really huge, 8-10 punds, but very nice fish. Wish I knew how to post pictures to this board.

Grandkids had a swell time and we had a fabulous dinner!

Drove to Skagway yesterday topick up a friend of mine. Took the boat and on the way back stopped at Tutshi Lake . Caught four small lakers.

A bit too early yet for the big ones to be in the shallow water. Ice just went off there about ten days ago aand it is a very deep lake.

Yukoner,

What's the average temps you getting now? It sounds like it's spring there. They hunting bears your way now? Everything is green around me.

Been hunting bears here for over a month. Just about done as they are all pretty well rubbed now. We got a nice little sausage and burger guy two weeks ago.

Daytime temps is about 70 F, evenings around 35.

The lakes are just starting to turn over so we are in for some really good lake trout fishing very shortly. It hasn't been bad at all, but the really big fish, 20-40 pounds, haven't showed up yet. They will still be pretty deep, but any day now that will change.

Went out with my 22 foot freighter canoe today to pick up six kids at church camp.

On the way back I dropped an eight inch Williams Whitefish over the side and only trolled ten minutes and hooked and landed a 20 lb+ lake trout.

Released it to spawn a bunch more.

It's happenin' now boys!

I have a 22 foot Teslin, in great shape, that I use mostly for hunting.

Just bought a 22 foot Chestnut that I am going to fix up. It is very sound, no rot, but needs a little "cosmetic" help.

I don't know how to post pictures here, but could email you one.

Yukoner my email is Lydic@gci.net
I just sold my 20ft Nor-West to buy house logs for a cabin in Eagle which is where I have been and so haven't replied before now.I really enjoyed that boat for its efficiency and comfort. The plan is to replace it with a 24 or 26 footer. BL
