Boy, somebody needs to build a microchip factory in a hurry or we are about to be royally screwed.
Another reason for the invasion of Taiwan is that the trade war with China started under Trump has continued. Companies have continued to move operations out of China and a lot of them have set up shop and manufacturing operations in Taiwan.
If I’m China and I’m planning on doing it eventually anyway, I do it now. Conditions will never be as favorable for them as they are now with doddering old Joe in office. I’m Flave and I endorse this message.

TSMC, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, is one of the most important semiconductor foundries in the world. That’s their real target.

I know of at least one microchip factory under construction North of Phoenix, Arizona. They expect to produce chips middle of next year. I think you are right about companies continuing to move out of China into Taiwan and other countries. And yes this is China's best chance of success in this endeavor.

He says Taiwan will fight to the end. Unfortunately that will be probably happen in less than 3 days. Read up on the Taiwanese military and the amphibious capacity of the PRC and get back with us. China could bomb Taiwan into oblivion before they even set foot on their soil. They want Taiwan for its success, not as a moonscape. Once again, study their militaries and preparedness. Fugk you. You lost. Stay out of adult conversations and it won't happen as often.
