I'm glad you've found Pack Nirvana Doc. In reading through their website the packs look very well engineered and built. Take lots of photos for us. smile

I'm curious as to why you are selling all your Kifaru packs. I've got a Late Season and a Spike Camp. I think they are better than anything I've seen or heard about.
I'm particularly interested in what you have now that replaces your Long hunter. E

dang don if it's not too much trouble could you forward the pm to me as well?

am curious to your thoughts as well, you've done more test driving than I have, I may have more miles on my odometer with a pack on, but you've hit all the dealerships, and you've enough experience to lend credence to the decisions you've made and why, I'd sure be interested in hearing them. Still learning here.

docdb,
This was a very confusing thread for me. I'm not sure; but, it sounds like everything in which I am interested or may be interested should you decide to sell has been spoken for without a single price being listed. You are the master salesman. Or, have people expressed a conditional interest? Having said that, could you please pm me with a list of items that have not been sold and a price on those items. Specifically, for those items you have listed, I am interested in your Long Hunter. Thank you in advance.

Thomas

Don, the Bullpac arrived today, thank you very much for the hustle, that gives me a few days to get things situated. I appreciate the effort on that.

Can't wait for your next fire sale!

thanx again.

Holy Cow, that was fast, I just mailed it Saturday. Looks like the US Postal Service worked overtime on this one. I hope you enjoy, and remember I need to see some pictures of the pack in action!

The above thought on this is mutual for me as well.

I'm happy you sold your BullPac Dan, I thought I had expressed an interest before the buying party did but never heard anything
from you.

If this is how you conduct business I'll know better next time to not respond to your post or any ad you may post.

SU35,
Your response is exactly why most of those packs have sat unused in the basement for along time. Never fail to piss someone off when I sell something, trust me it was not intentional. I received a Private Message regarding that pack like pronto after my initial post, and struck a deal, before you posted in this thread. I just missed your post, I am really sorry, I should have responded and mentioned it sold sooner than I did.

doc,

I have no doubt it was not intentional and I am sure it was Barkoff that sent the quick PM to you.

Site's like this can give an impression of confusion, it's easy to do.

No offense taken, none given.

Thanks, I guess the best thing to do would have been list each item with a description and photo in the classifieds, and then done business only via the thread, or at least if PMs were used, to update the thread right away. I guess I was just a little lazy. That's another reason why the thread was confusing, is that I announced my intention to sell before I had researched the current prices. I'll do better next time.

Hey sorry about that, wasn't trying to undercut you...it might be of some consolation to you, it wasn't the Alaskan bullpac, it was the regular bullpac, (narrow).

I think I've reached nirvana with a couple of packs, both small and large, but have been too lazy or hesitant to list my gear with the resultant narrative and photos. Suffice it to say, I've got three Kifaru packs (Longhunter complete set plus a guide bag, Late Season, and Spike Camp) that I haven't used in a while and need someone to take them over. Additionally, I have a Mystery Ranch Collection, including a Deluxe, a NICE frame with CrewCab and 6500 bag as well as two long pockets. I have a External Frame Bull-Pac Alaskan with bag that hasn't been used in years. I also have an Arcteryx NAOS 70 graphite that could go.
I've recently taken delivery of a Dan McHale pack

, and this is THE one for me, the search is over. I'll be developing descriptions/prices/photos etc in the next few days/weeks as the mood strikes me. If anyone sees something they are interested in, PM me. Once I get the packs straighten out, I'll sell some tents and be able to rent out my basement grin

Wow I checked out the Web site. I think that may be the world's most expensive pack. But than again if it is the right pack for you than the price is cheap. The never ending pack quest is expensive. grin

I will be selling some packs, tents and so forth in late Sept., these are all like new, hardly used and are from testing I have done over the past two years to find what I like best for my purposes/hunting region...bet nobody can guess! smile

I have a Bullpac Alaskan with fitted extension, NEW CONDITION, with soft foam covering all of the metal and camo duct tape covering that. The extension required extensive machining to fit the Alaskan frame and this cost $$$$. I am leaving for a horse/backpack trip, Mulies and maybe a Cali BH on Thursday morning and will be back in late Sept., PM me or e-mail at wodaxemsn.com to buy it as soon as I return, I have two Kifaru packs, a K-Paratipi and other new condition goodies as well....dammed costly to find what you prefer by actual use, not hearsay or 'net hype.

Anyone interested can contact me, and I will do my best to respond in order and accept the first committment, prices will be posted when I return for those interested. SU35, if you want this Bullpac, it's yours, Don is one of the real gentlemen here and wouldn't shaft anyone, IMO.

Don, glad you are happy with your McHale, helluva fine guy, Dan and I would buy one if I were younger, but, what I have now works for what I use them for and I am tired of buying gear as I have never been a gearhead. Use it in health and happieness, my friend, it should serve you well!!!
